Main Event

Museum of the Bible
400 4th St. SW, Washington, D.C. 20024

April 19-25, 2026

An
America Reads the Bible ticket gives you access to a one-of-a-kind historic live interactive experience that you cannot get with a general museum ticket—and tickets must be purchased in advance. There will be no walk-up entry for the live reading.

Each day, 60-70 different leaders will take the stage to read Scripture aloud, creating a powerful, continuous public reading of God’s Word that you and your family will never forget.

When you register for the Bible reading, you will have access to the World Stage Theatre and our live presentation of readers for up to 3 hours. This will be an interactive immersive experience with sights, sounds, and art that can only be experienced in the theatre.

You will also have a time to go through our private art gallery of Mindi Oaten's amazing 66 paintings of the Messiah showing up in all books of the Bible (this is only accessible through our ticketing process and not open to the public). Spend time interacting with our top Discipleship Partners to talk to them about their free discipleship and Bible reading programs, buy some books or ARTB merch, as well as get personal prayer during your time.

With your ticket, you can enjoy the entire **Museum of the Bible during the rest of the day before or after your America Reads the Bible experience. The historic Dead Sea Scrolls are on display for a limited time, making this an especially meaningful time to visit. (**Important to Note: General museum exhibits are from 10 am to 5 pm and the Bible reading is from 9am to 9pm so please plan your visit accordingly)

Come experience the living Word of God in the museum dedicated to celebrating it.

Select your day, time and seating section when reserving your ticket. Seating is limited for each time slot.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Anyone is welcome! Whether you’re a pastor, student, parent, business leader, or someone curious about Scripture, you’re invited to join us. All are welcome to attend the live reading and engage with our exhibits and partner activations throughout the week.

  • Yes! Children are welcome, and we encourage families to experience the Bible together. While some programming is best suited for older children and teens, the museum environment offers opportunities for younger kids to engage meaningfully with Scripture.

Please note: the live Bible reading inside the World Stage Theater is being professionally recorded and live-streamed, and will ultimately become part of a video Bible and audio Bible available for ongoing use and distribution. Because of this, we ask that only guests — including children — who can reliably remain quiet and non-disruptive attend this portion of the event. Maintaining a focused, reverent environment helps protect the integrity of the experience for both in-person and future audiences.

  • There are several ways to support:

  • The venue has no designated parking, and nearby lots are not guaranteed to have space. Please consider rideshare options. The location is 700 M St. SE, Washington, D.C. 20003. The entrance to the building is on 7th Street, so you will want to be dropped off here for the Pre-Event Celebration.

  • Absolutely! We encourage churches, small groups, and individuals across the country to host watch parties, reading circles, or local events during the week. Starting church resources are available with others coming soon.

  • We welcome aligned events focused on evangelism, discipleship, the arts, prayer, and spiritual formation. If you’d like to host an affiliate gathering in the D.C. area during the week, get in touch with us to explore coordination and visibility.
