America Reads The BibleThe idea of reading God's Word to bless a nation isn't something a human being invented, nor something we take credit for. It began in the final days of Moses's life, when the Lord instructed him to write out the Book of the Law and command Israel to read it aloud, in full, every seven years (Deuteronomy 31:9-13). Joshua fulfilled that command at Mount Ebal (Joshua 8:30-35). Generations later, after Nehemiah and the people had already rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, Ezra stood before the nation and read the Scriptures aloud — and that reading stirred the people to repentance and renewed their covenant with God (Nehemiah 8-9).
Inspired by God, Moses, Ezra and so many others, FPA's team engaged the nearly forty state Family Policy Councils we host to carry out the largest reading in American history. Together our groups engaged hundreds of church partners we serve, and the more than a million followers of Christ we engage to read the Bible in full as a blessing over America in April 2026. This was never our idea, and we didn't lead it — FPA simply had the privilege of hosting it, for God's glory alone. Together with thousands of Christians, we reached millions more and drew many toward the Word. None of it would have happened without the Body of Christ showing up, and we're praying our next America Reads the Bible event makes an even greater impact because you are a part of it!

Our worship leaders will be facilitating prayer and worship at the end of each hour of the Bible reading. To experience these moments of pause and reflection with a specific leader, please purchase a ticket for a 3-hour window of time when they will be leading. Multiple tickets and times can be purchased back-to-back by the same person, if you want to be in the theatre for 6 hours.
