READER & PARTNER BRIEFING

We are down to the last week before we launch with our Opening Celebration on April 18th from 7 pm to 8:30 pm EST. This special national moment will be livestreamed by Great American Pure Flix for free to every person and will also be on radio stations around the nation – American Family Radio, Bott Radio, Salem Radio, and Hope Media Group.

If you are not going to be there in person with us – PLEASE watch it that evening and share it with others as we come together from Washington DC. This is our main messaging night as leaders from different spheres of influence share our testimonies of the power of the Bible in our lives and call the American people back to the Bible. On top of our current line up, we will have two big officials from our government speaking that we will be announcing soon. Encourage everyone to watch Candace Cameron Bure, Cameron and BJ Arnett, Patricia Heaton, David Barton, Mark Batterson, Congressman Michael Cloud, Doug Deason, Dr. Adam Wright, Billy Hallowell, Pastor Allen Jackson, Tony Perkins, Matt Potter, Leeland, and Phil King. Pray for Bunni Pounds and Kyle Lance Martin as they bring the Word of God at the end. Register for the Livestream here.

We are asking for every church and ministry in the nation to join the movement of hosting the live stream of the opening celebration in their communities or live stream of the readings in their sanctuaries. We are now over 1,800 churches and ministries around the nation that say they want to do something with America Reads the Bible. 😊 Share this link with them.

We have programmed tickets for every reader, and you should have received those through Brushfire. If you haven’t seen them – check your spam or junk folder and then mark Brushfire emails as “safe”.

If you don’t have your opening celebration ticket – we might be able to still get you in, just email carley@christiansengaged.org.

If you have family, friends, or staff coming during your reading time – make sure you program them in free tickets to the Museum of the Bible and the Bible reading during your time frame.

Most of you were good and filled out this survey by Friday, but if you haven’t – we still need it. It is important for our media list and to know exactly when you are going to be in town.

Please help us blitz America Reads the Bible everywhere this week to your email lists and social media followers. Tag us. Please create videos, push out our graphics and videos, and collaborate with us. Send emails to your whole world. This is the moment! Let’s share the Word of God with everyone. We have new promo videos to encourage people to come to the Museum of the Bible in person, to use the live stream in their communities, and to encourage pastors as well. Please see them all here on our YouTube channel and download them for your usages in multiple formats here.

Check out our affiliate events in town including evangelism, prayer walks and teaching moments. Join as many as you can when you are in town.

Make sure you are signed up for the livestream for the event, so you get our up to the minute announcements throughout the event including HUGE announcements this week.

Finally – read Bunni’s important note to you as readers here as we prepare our hearts to come together.

Individual Reader Reminders
& Announcements

If for any reason you have not given us your reader agreement, headshot, title or backup video – please contact us immediately with that information as we are only 2 weeks out from this event. Contact Carley@christiansengaged.org or Jayme@christiansengaged.org

Please read carefully the instruction package attached and make sure you are reading only the translation that we have a license for – the King James Version Easy Read (KJV-ER).

IMPT: Please do not send your video files directly to us, as they are too large to process. Kindly follow the Video Transfer Instructions on page 5 of the instruction package for details on where and how to upload your pre-recorded video of the assigned Scripture passage.

Reader Preparation Information (Day-Of Reading)

Reading

Readers will step to a podium when it is their time to read and may use the podium or hold their materials, whichever is most comfortable.

A teleprompter will not be provided.

Copies of the KJV-ER will be available on site; however, readers are encouraged to bring their own printed materials prepared in advance, in their preferred font size, with any helpful notes or markings.

Dress Code

The general dress expectation is business casual.

Readers are encouraged to dress as themselves—authentic, respectful, and appropriate for the significance of the moment. Think professional, comfortable, and true to who you are.

Museum of the Bible Arrival

When you arrive at the Museum of the Bible, you’ll come through security (similar to airport security or entering a federal building) at the front door. After that, you’ll find our tables set up in the hallway for ARTB. One of the 3 tables will be ready to welcome readers.  We’ll have your name on the list there, we’ll ask to see your Brushfire ticket and then give you a Museum ticket and badge. We’ll then walk you to the reader check-in area near the theater. After that you can watch one or two readers so you see the process on stage, then we’ll bring you to the green room to get reading for your turn to read.
