Bi-Weekly
Partner Briefing
Dear Partners and Readers,
This is your page that will be updated every other week as we approach April 18-25, 2026.
A few key headlines that everyone needs to know:
Please sign up for the live stream of America Reads the Bible so you are getting the public emails that we are sending out with key announcements. Sign up here.
Our Opening Celebration announcement page for April 18th is up with our current speakers including Candace Cameron Bure, Cameron and BJ Arnett, Patricia Heaton, David Barton and more, and we are now pushing tickets to the general public, so make sure you follow the instructions below to make sure you have your ministry partnership tickets or reader tickets secured. Please share this page with anyone you think will be interested in coming. Tickets are $1,000 to help with our budget for this massive event. Announcement page here.
Marketing Items and Booking Bunni now -Bunni Pounds, President of Christians Engaged and the visionary behind this movement is available for interviews now on your shows. We need your help getting the word out now. Email gregg@iampronline.com for booking Bunni or our national spokespersons – Candace Cameron Bure or Cameron and BJ Arnett.
We have new promo videos to encourage people to come to the Museum of the Bible in person, to use the live stream in their communities, and to encourage pastors as well. Please see them all here on our YouTube channel and download them for your usages in multiple formats here.
Additional funding needed - We still need to raise $200,000 on top of what we will raise through our opening celebration tickets ($300,000), so if you know any who would like to be an underwriter still - we need them. We also need to push people to get tickets for the opening celebration to help us close this gap. Total we are believing God for still is $500,000 additional for this project. Check out our giving page here. We want to go into this event with it paid for.
Return: Our Gen Z Summit is up and running for America Reads the Bible for April 21-24 for young adults 18-30 years old. Hosted by our young adult director for Christians Engaged Abby Ralph, we will be pouring into 180 young people for this epic event with Members of Congress, a Capitol tour with the Bartons, tons of speakers, and worship by the Liberty University Collective. Make sure all of the young people that you know are aware of this incredible event as it will sell out. Because of generous supporters – the conference fee is only $50 for 2 ½ days.
We will be having a public livestreamed prayer meeting on March 5th at 7 PM CST/8 PM EST for 30 minutes with Bunni Pounds, Jaco Booyens, Frank Pavone, Congressman Gary Palmer, Jenny Donnelly and more… Sign up for our last two monthly prayer meetings here.
Church resources and sign up are now ready for every church and ministry in the nation to join the movement of hosting the opening celebration in their communities or the live stream of the readings in their sanctuaries. Our goal is to see 500 to 1000 congregations preach around the importance of Bible reading and use this national moment to encourage their members to go back to daily dependence on Jesus.

(Example: If you are reading at 2 pm, please get a ticket for the 12 pm to 3 pm segment that day).
Also, for readers and the people coming with them – pick tickets to start in front of the theatre, not the balcony or the art gallery. All other tickets that you desire can be secured for any date, time, or entry point.

Again, if your organization or group wants tickets for dates and times when you are not having readers – that is fine for you to secure those for anytime throughout the week, you just need to be under your ticket allotment in your package.

Partners and VIP readers get 20% off additional Museum of the Bible tickets. If you would like to purchase more beyond your complimentary allotment, please contact Carley directly (carley@christiansengaged.org) to receive the appropriate discount code.

If a ticket is for a child, you may enter the parent or guardian’s email address and phone number.

Individual Reader Reminders
& Announcements
Deadline for Reader Agreement, headshot, and title is now past due as of 1/16 and we need these immediately, but not later than 2/28. If you are a reader and responsible for yourself – please make sure you have returned your agreement, your headshot and title to carley@christiansengaged.org and jayme@christiansengaged.org.
Pre-Recording Video was due 1/31, but the final drop-dead deadline is 2/28 unless you have talked to us and gotten an extension. Please read carefully the instruction package attached and get it on the calendar with a videographer at your ministry, church, or locally.
IMPT: Please do not send your video files directly to us, as they are too large to process. Kindly follow the Video Transfer Instructions on page 5 of the instruction package for details on where and how to upload your pre-recorded video of the assigned Scripture passage.
IMPT: READING INSTRUCtIONS
Many have asked whether readers should announce the book, chapter, or headings. No, only read the text of the scripture.
Reading notes: If you are assigned to start a book of the Bible, do not state the book name on your recording. Just read the words in your passage. Do not state what you will be reading or who you are. We will handle this with on-screen text both live and in any way we need to use the recording. Simply read the assigned passage from the approved translation (KJV-ER). You do not need to read anything in parenthesis or any definitions that accompany the text.

Reader Preparation Information (Day-Of Reading)
Reading
Readers will step to a podium when it is their time to read and may use the podium or hold their materials, whichever is most comfortable.
A teleprompter will not be provided.
Copies of the KJV-ER will be available on site; however, readers are encouraged to bring their own printed materials prepared in advance, in their preferred font size, with any helpful notes or markings.
Dress Code
The general dress expectation is business casual.
Readers are encouraged to dress as themselves—authentic, respectful, and appropriate for the significance of the moment. Think professional, comfortable, and true to who you are.
WHERE TO LOOK WHEN READING
It’s fine to look up and down while reading. I’ve seen a few approaches now from various readers who have submitted videos:
Teleprompter - tough at close range unless you post edit for eye tracking. We can “see you read”. Also, the live reading will not have teleprompter, each reader will need to hold or use a podium for their materials.
Podium – shows the top of the head a lot and it’s a long way up and down (depending on how you’re set up). Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s a little clunky
Holding the Bible – this seems to work well, especially for those who do it while standing. It looks natural and the placement is higher than the podium so the face is seen more… many may not have the exact translation so I suspect some are printing and placing the printed pages in their Bible. Page turning feels natural in the examples I’ve seen
Any of these approaches can work well.
We will all be reading from the KJV-ER (King James Version, Easy Read) published by Whitaker House Publishing. Your specific passage in our approved translation can be looked up here: https://biblehub.com/kjver/ At the VERY top of the page, select your book of the Bible and chapter, then use the drop down under “Bible” to scroll to and select “KJV EASY READ”.
I’m also attaching the reader instruction booklet so it’s handy. Key info on pages 1-5 and note the FILE TRANSFER info on page 5 so you know how to send us those videos when they are complete. Don’t email us, the file will be too large for you and for us.
If you don’t hear back from us by the end of February, all is well. We’ll be reviewing these in February.
Join us at the Opening Celebration
April 18, 2026
5:00 PM to 6:30 PM Reception
90 Minute Program – 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Each VIP reader in the program who is not a part of a ministry partnership package has the option to come to our opening celebration on 4/18, if you so desire and to bring one guest, but you need to secure those using the instructions above no later than 3/15 to guarantee those spots. If you are a part of a ministry partnership group, please see the lead for your group to see what spots might be available for you.
We understand it will not be convenient for readers reading in the middle of the week or later in the New Testament, but we wanted to make you aware that it is an option for you. Let carley@christiansengaged.org know if you have any questions, but those will not be guaranteed past 2/27.
You also need to program in your Museum of the Bible ticket and for any of your guests for the reading – please see the ticketing information above and make sure that is done as soon as possible.
Book Your Travel
The Holiday Inn is our conference hotel and the information is at the bottom of this page or book at the Hyatt Place by the Museum of the Bible. Both hotels are nice and within a block of the Museum of the Bible.
marketing Reminders
Reminders to start planning out monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly email hits to your networks and ministries and social media posts to promote this event and movement. We can’t do this alone. We need your help to inspire people to bring their children and grandchildren to this historic moment in Washington, D.C. and for pastors, business leaders, and families to plan on how they are going to use the livestream in their communities, churches, businesses and in their family rooms.
We are using every avenue possible to get the word out about this once-in-a-lifetime event to make it as successful as possible, and we need your help!
As mentioned in the materials we sent, we have asked you to record a short promotional video (around 30 seconds) to share on your own social channels. The video can be simple and heartfelt — just you announcing your participation and sharing briefly what the Bible means to you personally.
When you post, please tag us (@AmericaRTBible), and request to collaborate with us on Instagram so we can share it, too! And don’t forget the hashtags to make our reach go even further: #AmericaReadstheBible, #ReadtheBible #America250.
We would also love it if you could send us your promotional videos to include on our YouTube channel as well. Please send them to info@americareadsthebible.com.
Booking our Team & National Spokespersons (Media & Churches)
We want every media opportunity we can find to amplify this movement – please consider booking us now for your programs on Christian TV, radio, or podcasts - Bunni Pounds (Visionary behind America Reads the Bible and President of Christians Engaged), Ben Quine (VP of Christians Engaged) or our national spokespersons, Candace Cameron Bure or Cameron and BJ Arnett on your programs. Reach out to Gregg Wooding at gregg@iampronline.com to get that scheduled.
Bunni Pounds and Ben Quine are also booking churches, ministry conferences and any groups where they can speak on Ezra & Nehemiah, the importance of scripture for our nation’s future, and talk about this national movement. Here is Bunni’s book flyer here, but reach out to shelly@christiansengaged.org to get that moving as the next months will fill up. Please help us amplify this message.
Ministry Partner Reminders
Deadline to get your Readers to Us was 1/16 – You are now Overdue
The deadline for your reader’s names, agreements, headshots and titles was 12/31. We are now at the point where final emails are going out to your representatives and if we don’t have your names and assets, we will have to start replacing your sections with someone else. Please contact us immediately.
Again, as a ministry partner, it is your responsibility to get us their names, the segment of scripture they are reading, their headshots and titles. You can see how we are listing everyone here on the website.
» Download the Reader Agreement here
Ministry Tags are Up for Data Sharing
On our livestream registration and stay informed pages on the America Reads the Bible website, we now have all of our 100+ ministry partners in a dropdown menu so when people sign up and let us know that you sent them, you will get all of the data from those people after the event. They are legally signing up for your emails. Please share this event on your emails, newsletters, your shows, and your social media, and use this as an opportunity to build your audience and build this movement together.
Pre-Recordings
Please make plans now to arrange with all of your readers for them to record a pre-video of their reading this week. Please read the instruction package here and make sure all of your readers have that package and are reading the right translation (KJV-ER). Also, make sure they are recording with good cameras because if something happens to them at the last minute, their pre-recording will have to go on the live stream. Make sure to get it on their calendars now with a videographer at their ministry, church, or locally.
Please do not send your video files directly to us, as they are too large to process. Kindly follow the Video Transfer Instructions on page 5 of the instruction package for details on where and how to upload your pre-recorded video of the assigned Scripture passage.
Opening Night Tickets
If you have tickets for the Opening Celebration on 4/18 in your ministry packages, and/or the Capitol Tour that night with David and Tim Barton that will start at 9:30 pm, please program in the opening celebration tickets and get the names and the emails of your people who will be taking the spots for the Capitol tour to carley@christiansengaged.org as soon as you can. We will need to know if you are using those tickets or not – no later than 3/15 to guarantee them.
For your Museum of the Bible tickets for each reader and your allotment for your ministry – please see above for all of the instructions to secure those. Every reader must have a ticket and you have a ton of opportunities to bless your staff, donors, and others in your world with this national event. Please use them.
